YOU ARE MY SISTA
The idea is get women thinking positively about each other by bringing forth the problems that separate us, to our attention and providing solutions for these issues and help us to look at each other in a different light. Sista is not in reference or exclusive to Black women, but a relaxed term as in by bonded by choice. We as women need to look at each other as being on the same team rather than rivals or competitors. Communication is key and it all starts with a compliment.Women should not only love themselves but love their sistas as well.
You Are My Sista was founded in 2014 on Buffalo State College campus. Since then it has continues to thrive and each executive board is specially handed picked by the preceding sistas to not only spread the message of You Are My Sista, but to embody the principles as an individual and inspire other sistas everywhere.
